What is your turnaround time? | While a one-week notice before a shoot is appreciated, we understand that urgent requests may arise. We are flexible and can expedite our services to accommodate tighter schedules. Expect delivery of still photos and reports within 24 hours after the shoot or inspection. |
How will I get my files? | For the majority of projects, we aim to provide you with edited digital photos within 24 hours after the shoot is completed. You will receive an email containing a link to your online photo gallery, allowing you to conveniently download all files to a local device. |
What photo resolution can I expect? | We provide our clients exclusively with high-resolution imagery. For detailed specifications, please refer to the DJI Camera Specs on our dedicated specifications page. |
How high can your drones UAV’s fly? | In compliance with Australian regulations, our UAVs are restricted from flying higher than 120 meters (400 feet). This altitude limitation is well-suited for conducting all the aerial inspections and photography services that BRD Drones is known for. |
Do I need to be on-site for the inspection/shoot? | Your physical presence during the shoot/inspection is generally unnecessary, although you are invited to join if you believe it would be beneficial. Our pilots can adeptly capture high-quality imagery in diverse settings. However, if you decide to participate in the shoot, please be aware that scheduling times may experience delays, as coordination with multiple parties is required. Prior to scheduling, we will provide you with our project intake form, allowing you to articulate your preferences, goals, and objectives comprehensively. While most clients prefer online or phone communication, we are open to accommodating your preferences. |
What kind of weather would be best for the shoot? | The choice depends on your goals and personal preferences. When aiming for marketing photos, a preferred condition among many professionals is partly cloudy weather. This is attributed to the ample sunlight combined with a scattering of clouds, enhancing photo texture. |
What kind of drones do you fly? | We primarily operate drones from DJI Enterprise at BRD Drones. As the industry leader with around 70% market share, DJI is our preferred manufacturer. While the specific drone model for your project may vary, all drones we use are equipped with cameras capable of capturing video in 4K resolution at a minimum. |
What areas do you cover? | We provide a comprehensive array of drone services across Greater Melbourne, Victoria. It's worth noting that inquiries about restricted drone access arise occasionally due to designated no-fly zones in Australia. Our chief pilot is available to offer guidance and address any concerns you may have regarding drone access. |
What is the process around each drone operation? | The procedure for each drone operation varies based on factors such as size, scope, and the client's objectives. At the outset of every project, we dedicate time to understand our client's needs thoroughly. The insights gathered during this phase inform the development of detailed plans that outline our recommended approach, encompassing the necessary personnel and technologies. |
